Powell St Family Medical Practice was established in September 1995. It has grown rapidly from a solo practice, to a small group practice with multiple health services available. Our seniors General Practitioners have over 20 years of experience, and passionately deliver care alongside Practice Nurses, visiting Geriatricians, as well as Allied Health.
We also have a convenient bulk-billing Pathology Collection service next door for our patients and the community to use.
Powell St Medical Practice is a teaching practice, and trains GP registrars undergoing Fellowship training for the Royal Australian College of General Practice, in addition to supervising local medical students undertaking their GP rotations.
Fees
Our General Practice offers bulk-billing for all Medicare card holders and Veteran's Affairs Pensioners. We encourage our patients to make appointments, but also take walk-ins.
Patients who do not hold a Medicare card will be charged upfront consultation fees. You will be advised of costs prior to your consultation.
Referrals to Allied Health and visiting Medical Specialists in the practice are usually bulk billed. However, when referred to other Allied Health practitioners and Specialists by our practitioners there may a gap fee by the third party.
AFTER HOURS, SUNDAYS, & PUBLIC HOLIDAYS
